A website makes fundraising easy by allowing you to email your friends and family a link to your site.  The more visitors you can attract to your site, the more people can learn about this exciting life changing experience your child has been invited to and donate to your cause!  They can see and read exactly what they will be donating money for and use their credit or debit cards to securely donate money to your child right online.

With simple marketing techniques, including social media marketing and
e-mail campaigns you can easily increase the amount of visitors to your site. You should also spend some time promoting your site on the web.  Some good ideas would be to add a link to your site on your mySpace, Facebook, or Twitter page so all your online friends can check out your site and donate too!  You could even post an ad on Craigslist with a link to your site asking people in your community to help your cause.

A website can potentially bring money in day after day, week after week, twenty four hours a day, without having to leave your home and without the problems that come with traditional fundraisers, such as begging for money, bake sales, buying and storing products for resale, endless phone calls etc.  A website can continue generating money for your child right up till the day of the event.

  • PayPal donate button - PayPal.com offers a very simple way of accepting donations online: supporters can pay by credit or debit and there aren’t any set-up fees. You only pay a small percentage on each amount donated.  You will receive an e-mail each time you receive a donation and you can keep track of your donors through your account.

This is a special price to parents inspired by my best friends daughter Amanda.  She asked me to build her a website to raise funds for her JrNYLC Washington trip.   I figured I could help others like her as well for just a small fee of $150.  This is a great experience for the kids who were invited.  Many families may find themselves, like my friend, wondering how they are going to come up with the money.  This is the perfect opportunity to invite your family and friends to help in the cause. 

What I Need To Get Started

  • Email me a picture of your son/daughter for the top of the website (make sure to take the picture on a neutral background, like in front of a fence or garage, so I will be able to easily remove the background from the photo. The flag is photoshopped in and is optional).
  • Email me pictures for the photo gallery on the About page. You can email as many photos as you wish to include in the gallery (within reason of course). You can also have a caption with each photo if you would like.
  • Information/Testimonials about your child for the About page.
  • Fax or email me the Invitation to include on the "Information" page. (Just the "Dear Student" and "Dear Parents" letters, I have the rest of the information). Please email me for the fax #.
  • Email me anything else you want to include in the site

Once I have the information, it will take me 1-2 days to get it up and running.  I will also keep your donation thermometer updated for you until the event takes place.  You will just have to email me as you get the donations so I know who they are from and for how much. You don't have to pay anything up front.  I will bill you for the $150 once the website is launched. (7 days terms - unless prior arrangements have been made)

The website will remain up and running until 60 days after the event. That way you can add pictures that your child may have taken on the trip and any information about their experiences during the Conference. This is totally optional, but available to you if you would like it for no additional cost.

If you would like to keep your child's website up for longer than the 60 days after the event as a memento or souvenir, I can help you setup your own hosting plan for $66/year. Email me for more information.
